Prysmian Group, the world’s number one manufacturer of energy and telecom cables, employs about 30,000 people across 108 plants. It designs, manufactures and installs onshore and subsea high-voltage links, offshore wind cables and ultra-fast optical fibers. Its cable-laying vessels Leonardo da Vinci and Cable Enterprise can install cables at depths of more than 2,000 meters. “Deeper, lighter, greener” innovations reduce weight, increase conductivity and lower carbon footprint. Prysmian supports the energy transition (HVDC, offshore electrification) and 5G-edge connectivity, while targeting operational carbon neutrality by 2035.
Media programme to establish a clear positioning on energy and telecom infrastructures and the transition agenda in a competitive media environment. Audit and strategic framing, editorial calendar and execution governance, then spokesperson safeguards through Q&A, statistics pack, pitches and media coaching. Content production (press releases, modular press kit and opinion pieces), media activation and an operational debrief to sustain momentum.
Deliverables included 6 press releases, 1 modular press kit, 2 opinion pieces and 24 social posts, totalling 33 assets, supported by a crisis Q&A, a data pack, pitch templates and media training. Activation targeted 218 journalists and producers and generated 82 qualified pieces of coverage and 16 interviews or speaking opportunities, corresponding to 13.7 pieces of coverage per press release and a 19.5% interview-to-coverage ratio. Coverage per activated contact reached 37.6% (82 out of 218). Coverage split: 57 online, 16 print and 9 broadcast; national 41, regional 12 and specialist 29. Performance tracking included qualified-media share (60%), key-message pull-through (50%) and spokesperson readiness.
