Ocado Group

We're changing the way the world shops for good

Country : United Kingdom

Year of establishment : 2000

Founded in the UK in 2000, Ocado is a technology group reinventing online grocery commerce. Its Ocado Smart Platform combines automated “grid” warehouses, pick-and-pack robots, predictive software and an electric fleet to deliver profitable, lower-carbon grocery service. Through partnerships with Kroger, Coles, Aeon and Groupe Casino, Ocado provides turnkey fulfillment centers, front-end apps and data solutions. Ocado Retail, a joint venture with Marks & Spencer, serves as a showcase, with 98% customer satisfaction and food waste cut in half. With around 3,000 patents and 20,000 employees, Ocado Intelligent Automation extends this modular robotics to other industries, while the company targets operational net-zero by 2040.

Ocado Group needed to make a complex technology understandable and to support a demonstration-driven narrative - content, virtual tour, investor documents - without multiplying entry points. Over six months, Trois Actes designed a dedicated platform. After workshops with stakeholders, a specification defined the information architecture, access rules, editorial governance and compliance. The solution was built modularly, with useful integrations and a serious approach to security. Four training sessions made the team autonomous. The platform targets around 293 users, with a press contact designed for outlets such as Maddyness, Challenges or Le Figaro Économie, and an evolutive maintenance framework based on performance and usage.
