Le musée d’art de la place Stanislas

Country : France

Year of establishment : 1793

Founded in 1793, the Musée des Beaux-Arts de Nancy occupies an 18th-century pavilion on Place Stanislas (UNESCO). Its collections span painting, prints and drawings, sculpture, Daum glassworks and decorative arts from the 14th century to today. Highlights include works by Perugino, Rubens, Delacroix, Monet and Modigliani, as well as icons of Nancy Art Nouveau by Gallé and Majorelle. Temporary exhibitions, residencies and participatory workshops strengthen mediation and dialogue with contemporary creation. The museum pursues an accessibility policy (tactile tours, sign-language audio guides) and sustainable operations (LED lighting, micro-climate display cases), showcasing Lorraine and European heritage.

For the Musée des Beaux-Arts de Nancy, the challenge was to turn an exhibition opening into a press and public rendezvous consistent with the signature “Le musée d’art de la place Stanislas”. Over a quarter, Trois Actes designed and produced a press preview and an opening weekend. Around 200 people attended, including 58 journalists and 29 content creators. Three workshops or demos turned the narrative into proof points, and a press area facilitated collection of quotes and visuals. Three partners were associated with the program. On the day, the team managed production, timing, contingencies and capture. A debrief kit was shared the next day, then coverage was analyzed to improve future activations.
